About
This Tournament Has Everything (TTHE) is a women’s/trans/two-spirit/nonbinary inclusive hockey weekend held on the Sunshine Coast BC in ch'atlich (Sechelt). We are a boat access (BC Ferries) only community, playing in a charming arena that was built in the early 70’s. TTHE is committed to creating, sustaining, and supporting a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion in hockey by focusing on making space for players who have historically been marginalized in the sport.
We held our first tournament in March 2023 and celebrated TTHE's 4th Annual Hockey Weekend, March 2026. TTHE's fifth annual is March 5-7, 2027; we are expanding to 10 teams from our original 4 and will have over 150 players from all over North America.

“I decided to throw this type of a tournament because I wanted players who don't necessarily feel included in hockey to know that they have a place on the ice. TTHE Hockey Weekend was meant to promote and advocate diversity and inclusiveness in the sport." Kao recently became an inclusion ambassador for YOUCANPLAY

“After playing hockey for 7 years as a kid, I found the sporting world to be an increasingly intimidating and confusing place. Rediscovering hockey as an adult and participating in the TTHE tournament has brought me so much joy and healing. I am grateful for this community and I am excited to help further the tournament’s reach.”

"It's been such a joy to witness what a positive impact TTHE Tournament has had on folks. From individual players to youth outreach programs to small and local businesses. I love being part of an event that celebrates women, queer and trans communities. It's so empowering the things we can accomplish when we come together. Go sports!”

“I discovered hockey for the first time as an adult, and am so grateful for welcoming environments like TTHE to play in and grow. This tournament is a true haven for our community and oozes joy from every available space. I’m so honoured to be a part of it, both as a player and now the team making it happen!”

“It is an absolute honour and joy to be involved in TTHE creating spaces for, and championing the voices of those marginalized in hockey. Kao has worked tirelessly to bring this vision to life each year and has allowed it to evolve in such a beautiful way centring around community and care. You can feel the intention behind every aspect and this tournament is just sheer magic!”

“Loitering around TTHE last year was truly an incredible experience, and I’m beyond thrilled to be able to contribute more this year. It’s so important to have spaces like this that let everyone be their truest, most authentic selves, and to be able to enjoy it with a side of hockey is just about as good as it gets.”

“Kao invited me to come shoot video at TTHE Tournament in 2024 and it was such an incredible experience. I’ve never been to an event where so many people wanted to give interviews and were so kind. It was an easy yes when I was asked to come back for 2025! I’m so excited to see TTHE tournament grow and get to chat with even more incredible hockey players this year.”

"I started hockey in 2024 and have only played as an adult, with women, gender diverse, and LGBTQ2SIA+ players. It has been a joyful and humbling experience; welcoming, accommodating, inclusive and fun. I have never felt more comfortable in my self than I do when I'm geared up, practicing or playing with pals. TTHE 2025 was my very first hockey tournament and I thought, "what a gift: to feel home, to be part of something good, to feel rooted but so free, to find new friends who are so easy to be true with." I am grateful to be part of the community, and happy to help it grow."

“I’m not an athlete by any stretch of the imagination, but I love sports for their ability to bring people together and create a community. Being able to be a part of TTHE has broadened my world and brought me into a chosen family of amazing folks who love unconditionally. Spectating is a sport!”

Thanks to a Community Safety Grant from Fierte Canada Pride and Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) with guidance from Métis Nation BC, TTHE was able to provide mental, spiritual and emotional support at the rink throughout the 2025-2026 weekends. The Ambassador Program was provided to folks involved with the tournament at no cost.
This initiative was created to destigmatize mental health in sport.
